about us
Nurture19 is on a mission to radically improve the way parents are supported in America. We’re creating spaces where families can access affordable childcare, wellness services, and everyday relief under one roof—because no parent should have to choose between caring for their children and caring for themselves.
Our Bigger Vision for America’s Caregivers
It starts with the spaces.
Parents need relief now—tangible, everyday support that helps them breathe easier, get through the day, and feel less alone. That’s why our physical locations are our top priority and designed to meet those immediate needs: affordable childcare, wellness services, household support, and a place to just exist without pressure.
But we know the problem is bigger than burnout. And the solution has to be bigger, too.
Nurture19 is more than a space—it’s a movement for cultural change. Our plans include a nonprofit arm dedicated to easing the financial burdens that weigh families down, including:
Subsidizing the cost of childcare
Covering medical expenses related to pregnancy and postpartum
Making higher education more accessible for single parents
Providing in-home care and support during the critical early postpartum period
We also believe that care work deserves research, funding, and advocacy. That’s why our long-term vision aims to launch an in-house research division focused on improving the lived experience of parents in America—and we’ll use our findings to advocate for better policies, systems, and cultural norms.
We’ll partner with organizations already doing this work, amplify their voices, and use ours to push for change.
And because not every parent can access a physical space, we’re building a digital platform where families everywhere can tap into virtual services, resources, and community—whether or not they’re near a Nurture19 location.
This is how we create real, generational change:
By combining relief in the moment with long-term infrastructure for care.
And we’re inviting everyone who believes in this mission to join us—not just as supporters, but as stakeholders. In our next stage, we’ll offer equity investment opportunities, so everyday people can grow wealth while helping families thrive.
This is about reshaping what it means to be supported in America.
Let’s build it—together.
Hi, we’re Elora and Erica. We met in college, and became soul sisters. Little did we know that one day, our paths would align over a decade later in our shared journey through motherhood.
After becoming mothers, Elora and Erica lost touch. Every minute of the day was devoted to their children, work or just simply surviving. When they were finally able to connect, they bonded over their shared experiences of parenting — the joy, the love, the fear of messing up, the guilt of balancing motherhood and their career, and the emotional and physical toll of parenting little ones.
While Elora and Erica came to realize that their joy and struggles were shared, they wondered how many other parents felt the same. This is when the vision of Nurture19 was born.
Nurture19 was created to ensure all parents had access to a modern day village that empowered them to be the best version of themselves.
Our story
About Dr. Elora Diaz-Ney, EdD
Born into a family that worked tirelessly to provide for a better future, Dr. Elora Diaz-Ney knows firsthand the challenges of overcoming systemic barriers. As a first-generation college graduate, she navigated the complexities of higher education on her own, determined to break cycles of struggle and create opportunities-not just for herself, but for future generations.
Her journey was not easy. She faced adversity, financial hardships, and the weight of being the first in her family to walk this path. But with resilience, she earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership, dedicating her career to ensuring that other families— especially mothers-don't have to face these challenges alone.
Dr. Diaz-Ney has spent years working in organizational leadership, educational policy, and K-12 pedagogy, advocating for programs that uplift families and create accessible, community-driven solutions. She knows that when parents are supported, children thrive-and she is committed to making that a reality through Nurture19.
As a mother, she understands the overwhelming mental load parents carry. She co-founded Nurture19 to build a space where families no longer have to piece together solutions in isolation-but instead, find everything they need under one roof.
About Erica Cummings, LPC
For Erica Cummings, supporting mothers isn't just a profession-it's a deeply personal mission. As a Licensed Therapist, maternal mental health educator, and board-certified health and wellness coach, she has spent her career working with mothers who feel like they're drowning under the weight of modern parenting.
She has sat across from exhausted, tearful mothers who feel like they've lost themselves-their identities consumed by the relentless demands of caregiving. She has listened to their stories of overwhelm, burnout, and isolation, stories she knows all too well from her own journey as both a mother and a mental health professional.
Through her work, she has seen the devastating impact that lack of support, financial barriers to childcare, and unrealistic societal expectations have on families. Too often, parents are forced to sacrifice their well-being just to get through the day. Erica believes that should never be the case.
That's why she co-founded Nurture19-to create a space where parents don't just survive, but thrive. A place where they can access mental health resources, wellness care, and a community that truly understands them. She is determined to redefine what parental support looks like— shifting from mere survival to holistic, intentional well-being.
Her passion for maternal wellness drives every aspect of Nurture19, ensuring that no parent ever has to choose between caring for themselves and caring for their children.
Because when parents are nurtured, families flourish-and Erica is on a mission to make that happen.
